Our Brand Identity & Image
The identity of our brand is related to the words “volition” and “vocational.” The word “volition” or will, is a cognitive process by which an individual decides on and commits to a particular course of action. It is defined as purposeful striving and is one of the primary human psychological functions.
The word “vocational” can be defined as relating to a calling, career, occupation, or employment. Our logo and website includes clean and simple shades of green and white colors, which are intended to communicate feelings of peacefulness, growth, and health. Our text fonts include Caudex and Avenir Light, which are intended to express a mixture of creativity, openness, and warmth.
Our basic logo, which will continue to evolve, is a circle shape filled with a medium dark shade of green and a white circular line within it that surrounds a Celtic triquetra (3-cornered) knot that is turned upside down to appear as a V-shaped or triangular knot with smaller V-shapes intertwined together.
There are a variety of potential meanings and symbolisms to interpret from this triquetra knot. However, the one that we like is about the interconnectedness of the three stages of life (life, death, rebirth) and the holistic, interdependent nature of the body, mind, and spirit (or soul). Below the V-shaped triquetra knot are the white colored text words of “Volition Vocational” and “Rehabilitation Services.”
Our brand identity and image represents our passion for improving and restoring the health, well-being, and quality of life of people who experience barriers and limitations to participating in meaningful vocational activities. We do this through a process of empowering people with tools to decide on and commit to taking action to engage in activities to achieve their career, employment, and work goals.
